Hello! My name is Amy, and I’m an aspiring writer and cartoonist from West Yorkshire, in the UK. I have a qualification in Foundation Art & Design and study an undergraduate degree in English Literature and Creative Writing, currently in my 3rd year.

Since I was a child, I have been drawn to cartoons and animated media, retaining a fascination with the many anthropomorphic animal characters found dotted around our culture.

My written narrative takes on an abstract style and frequently uses the metaphor of wolves, taking care to retain a character-based narrative that concerns themes of mental illness, social deviance and the marginalisation of queer community, based in semi-realistic universes with the intention of normalising the diverse voice. I aim to apply this perspective in my written work and address the silenced issues and peculiarities many neurodiverse individuals face in their lives.

My artwork favours animals and anthropomorphic character design, and I have open commission slots for personalised digital and traditional works, including pet portraits and pieces of original characters.

I hope my work is able to bring back elements of nostalgia from your own childhood, and perhaps make you think about some questions previously unasked in regard to our social norm.

Please don’t hesitate to get in contact if you have any enquiries.
